The Efficiency of the Vietnamese

FAR OUT!!!

I would like to commend the Vietnamese Embassy in Canberra on their ridiculous efficiency in regards to Visa application processing!

I sent our applications in on Friday, express post of course. They received them Monday morning, processed them that day and had them in the mail that night! They were sitting in my mail box Tuesday morning! ONE day turn around!

Beat that Russia!!

Testing

Testing... testing? This is my first blog ever. I've always wanted to blog, write down my random thoughts, but finally now is the time. I'm about the embark on a journey of my life... well 11 years of my life as I'm heading off on my long service leave! Three months of travel, exploration, trains, planes and countries! Thankfully accompanied by my best friend & husband, Andrew.

We're still in the preparation phase. We've booked the trains, the flight to London (our starting point), and we've got our Vietnamese Visa's. Only 4 visa's to go, lots of accomodation research, flights around Asia, etc. Actually there's still lots to do - and only 2.5months to do it! But hey - we organised a wedding in two months, surely this will be a piece of cake!

So the plan - three months of non-stop travel covering over a third of the northern hemisphere! Fly into London, eat bread, croissants, snails etc in Paris, drive to Rome via the south coast of France, catch the gondola's in Venice, sing in Austria, stand in awe in Prague, visit Andrew's family in Poland - all in the first five weeks! Then catch the TransSiberian train from St Petersburg, Russia, to Beijing, China! Three weeks, three countries, one train! Then see the Great Wall in Beijing, visit friends in Shanghai, explore Vietnam, see my girl Emma in India & finish up relaxing on a beach in Thailand!!

SO excited, SO ready (kinda...) - SO hope you enjoy sharing this journey with me!!
